COS' ERA MC MAGMA 2°

MC Magma 2° era un rinomato spazio e project room per eventi di design ed altro, a Milano. Oltre che servizi di comunicazione e digitalizzazione,

Su prenotazione, per verificarne la dsponibilità e la fattibilità della richiesta, era possibile noleggiare lo spazio in modalità temporanea, sotto la denominazione di MC Magma 2° o sotto altre denominazioni specifiche, dove si identificavano la locazione a tempo limitato di un evento, oltre tutti quei servizi di scrittura e comunicazione, quali ad esempio il lancio stampa, avvalendosi di un'ampia agenda di varie migliaia di contatti, oltre i contatti ufficiali, supporto totale che la costruzione di un comunicato stampa e nelle scritture di supporto, l'eventuale realizzazione di strutture scenografiche e installative, supporti per la digitalizzazione e l'elaborazione grafica e stampa di immagini e/o scritte e pubblicazioni, più altri servizi multimediali, tutti fattori necessari alla perfetta riuscita di un evento e/o alla presentazione di un qualsiasi prodotto.

MC Magma 2° poteva offrire servizio di organizzazione in forma di supporto ad un evento, in un open space multifunzionale di oltre 110 m² totali nell'area di Milano maggiormente dedicata al Design. Oppure offrire questi stessi servizi in altri luoghi e sotto altre denominazioni.

Sotto la denominazione di MC Magma 2° c'era una gamma di servizi che assolutamente non rientravano nel progetto artistico d'arte contemporanea denominato MC Magma Studio e relativo programma propositivo.

LO SPAZIO

L'ex MC Magma 2° era nello spazio recuperato da una porzione di un'antica fabbrica milanese, collocato a livello terra di una caratteristica corte di fabbrica lombarda, coperta da un rigoglioso vigneto di uva fragolina. Questo open space dalle ampie finestre in ferro a tutta altezza, con soffitto di 5 m., è stato restituito alla contemporaneità da Manlio Caropreso nei primissimi anni ottanta, che ne fece il suo studio, all'epoca indubbiamente tra i primi in zona e dal 1999 spazio attrezzato per eventi particolari, video produzioni, shooting fotografici ed altro ancora, volutamente restaurato nell'intento di non stravolgerne l'originaria vocazione industriale dei primi anni del novecento. Attrezzato con luci removibili ed orientabili, dispone ovviamente di servizi igienici sia per il cortile che per gli interni, più un piccolo locale cucinino, oltre che di uno spazio espositivo ausiliario o per uso ufficio temporaneo.

IL QUARTIERE

L'ex MC Magma 2° era nella prima e più conosciuta via dedicata al design a Milano, Via Tortona, strada dove il 'Fuori Salone' è stato lanciato con successo per la prima volta in città, fuori dalla consueta sede fieristica, durante il "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" di Milano. Via Tortona si è così diffusa nel mondo, come 'Fuorisalone', 'Fuori Salone" in "Zona Tortona' o semplicemente 'Via Tortona'.

L'ex MC Magma 2° era situata all'inizio di via Tortona al numero 4, tra il Ponte di Ferro di Porta Genova detto anche Ponte degli Artisti e via Savona, esattamente dove c'è il passaggio pedonale dei binari tra via Voghera e via Bobbio. Siamo nel cuore del Fuori Salone in via Tortona, l'area più famosa e creativa del 'Milan Design Week'. Via Tortona è anche nella zona più caratteristica e vivace di Milano, dove hanno i loro studi artisti, fotografi, designers, stilisti, grafici e creativi di ogni genere.

Inoltre l'ex MC Magma 2° era collocata nella parte più centrale di via Tortona, adiacente ai Navigli, con i suoi bar, pub e ristoranti.

L'ex MC Magma 2° è a meno di 150 metri dal Piazzale di Porta Genova, dove ci sono tutti i servizi di trasporto pubblici e privati. Tutte le operazioni di carico e scarico allo studio sono possibili entrando nel cortile carrabile di via Tortona 4 sino alla porta d'ingresso a livello terra dell'ex MC Magma 2°

WHAT WAS MC MAGMA 2°

SPACE

The former MC Magma 2° was in the space recovered from a portion of an ancient Milanese factory, located on the ground level of a characteristic Lombard factory courtyard, covered by a lush strawberry grape vineyard. This open space with large floor-to-ceiling iron windows, with a 5 m ceiling, was brought back to the contemporary by Manlio Caropreso in the early eighties, who made it his studio, undoubtedly among the first in the area at the time and since 1999 space equipped for special events, video productions, photo shoots and more, deliberately restored with the aim of not distorting its original industrial vocation of the early twentieth century. Equipped with removable and adjustable lights, it obviously has toilets for both the courtyard and the interior, plus a small kitchenette, as well as an auxiliary exhibition space or for temporary office use.

THE DISTRICT

The former MC Magma 2° was in the first and best known street dedicated to design in Milan, Via Tortona, the street where the 'Fuori Salone' was successfully launched for the first time in the city, outside the usual exhibition venue, during the "International Furniture Fair" in Milan. Via Tortona has thus spread throughout the world, as 'Fuorisalone', 'Fuori Salone' in 'Zona Tortona' or simply 'Via Tortona'.

The former MC Magma 2° was located at the beginning of via Tortona at number 4, between the Iron Bridge of Porta Genova also known as the Artists' Bridge and via Savona, exactly where there is the pedestrian crossing of the tracks between via Voghera and via Bobbio. We are in the heart of the Fuori Salone in via Tortona, the most famous and creative area of the 'Milan Design Week'. Via Tortona is also in the most characteristic and lively area of Milan, where artists, photographers, designers, stylists, graphic designers and creatives of all kinds have their studios.

® MC Magma 2° - Via Tortona Design Area - Events Lab in Milan - Multifunctional Open Space - Temporary Events, Set in an Ancient Factory in the heart of Milan, in Via Tortona 4, near the Iron Bridge, the First and the Best Known Area for the Design Week, International Event called " Fuori Salone del Mobile " in via Tortona - Tortona Design Week, where the "Fuorisalone" was founded. This street is also in the most characteristic and lively area in the centre of Milan, where artists, photographers, designers, fashion designers, graphic designers and all genre of creatives have their studios. MC Magma 2° è spazio multifunzionale temporaneo selettivo, per eventi ed esposizioni particolari si prenotazione.

Lo studio è ricavato in un'antica fabbrica milanese e sito in via Tortona 4, vicino al Ponte di Ferro, nella prima oltre che più conosciuta area dedicata alla settimana del design a Milano, importante evento internazionale, denominato " Fuori Salone del Mobile " in via Tortona - Tortona Design Week, area centrale dove è stato fondato il "Fuorisalone". Via Tortona è anche nella zona più caratteristica e vivace di Milano, ed il numero civico 4 è quello più vicino al centro della città. In Via Tortona hanno i loro studi artisti, fotografi, designer, stilisti, grafici e creativi di ogni genere. Inoltre, questa via è adiacente ai Navigli, con i suoi laboratori, botteghe ed antiquari, bar, pub e ristoranti.
